Project Goals
- Create an Open, Airy Space – Remove a wall to enhance natural light and improve the flow between the kitchen and living areas, making it perfect for entertaining.
- Maximize Storage & Organization – Incorporate a hidden appliance garage, a wet bar, and two walk-in pantries to keep the kitchen clutter-free and highly functional.
- Design a Stylish & Inviting Aesthetic – Blend blue and white tones with high-end finishes to create a timeless, elegant look that suits the homeowners’ entertaining lifestyle.
Challenges:
- Structural Modifications – Removing a wall to open the space required careful planning to ensure proper support and seamless integration with the existing home layout.

This Bright & Open Blue and White Kitchen Remodel blends traditional and contemporary elements for a truly transitional design. Here are the standout features:
- Transitional Design: A beautiful mix of traditional cabinetry, arched doorways, and modern finishes like floral blue-and-white backsplash, shiplap, and navy/gold pendant lights.
- Improved Layout: The space was expanded by incorporating an unused formal dining room, creating a more open and functional layout. Now, there’s room for high-end appliances like a Wolf range and Sub-Zero refrigerator.
- White & Blue Cabinets: Inset custom cabinetry gives a traditional feel, with the kitchen island in navy blue contrasting against the white cabinets. Butcher block countertops on the beverage station complement the arched doorways, while white quartz counters add to the airy atmosphere.
- Beverage Station: Perfect for entertaining, this feature includes a bar sink, a stunning zellige backsplash, and mullion glass cabinet doors showcasing walnut interiors. It also has a pass-through window to the sunroom.
- Hidden Appliance Cabinet: A clever solution with pivot pocket doors that slide into the cabinet, keeping small appliances like a stand mixer, toaster, or blender easily accessible but hidden when not in use.
- Dual Walk-In Pantries: Two pantries – one in the main kitchen area and another in the back hallway – offer plenty of storage space.
- Hidden Closet: A discreet closet near the front door has a door that blends into the wall, featuring a touch latch for easy access.
- Mixed Metal Finishes: Gold and chrome finishes add sophistication, with gold cabinet hardware on the navy cabinets and chrome on the white ones, complemented by a mix of plumbing fixtures, lighting, and other hardware.
